Updates

Williams Trace Park

The Williams Trace park has been updated!  In an exciting partnership with the City of Sugar Land, the Community Association of the Highlands has replaced the community park on Williams Trace.  The park now features a new play structure with slides, a swing set with toddler and belt swings, and a fun merry-go-round.  There's still more to come!  A Little Free Library will soon be installed as well as two spring riders in a separate play area. Visit the park to check out the improvements or check out the pictures here.

City of Sugar Land Great Homes Project

Purpose
The purpose and intent of Great Homes is to empower Sugar Land's residents and communities to participate with the City in preserving, protecting, and enhancing Sugar Land's single-family housing and neighborhood areas.

Programs
Under Great Homes, the City offers incentive programs for homeowners with a property located in the city limits.

The Great Homes Update Program is a reimbursement incentive program to encourage the rehabilitation and refurbishment of the exterior of a single-family residential property. Applications to the Update Program opened on January 1, 2025.

The Great Homes Design Program provides Sugar Land homeowners and homeowner associations (HOAs) with a creative, re-envisioned exterior home design at a Sugar Land-exclusive cost. Home design recipients can submit their home design in the Update Program to receive an additional 2% reimbursement incentive.
